The act of leaving in the Bru-Van Kieu fairy tale is a particularly outstanding one. It shows the psychology of behavior, thereby expressing the culture of the ethnic group. The act of leaving originates from the socio-historical factors of the ethnic group and from the events in the individual's life. They have made external departures/migration, i.e. geographical departures/migration, and also “inside” departures, i.e. mental shifts, which have masquerade meaning to obscure the self in adverse situations. This action in the fairy tale, interpreted from an interdisciplinary point of view, adds another testament to the feasibility and effectiveness of interdisciplinary research, especially research from an anthropological perspective in the current context.
